The Journal : Top 5 Scariest Monsters (Part 3)

264

Just pronouncing the name makes you shiver.

Number 3
Kraken

Origin
Scandinavian, probably. Stray Nordic adventurers sighted these fearsome creatures by accident.

Description
What is sailor's life like, you ask? Well, he's got storms, ocean waves as tall as houses, St. Elmo's fire flashing all around him, Somali pirates' breathing in his neck, and suddenly – a giant tentacled monster emerging from the sea depths? I think I'll take the airplane next time, thank you.

Area of expertise
The typical Kraken specializes in sinking and/or eating boats. If they're not fully developed, they snatch one or two careless seamen and drown them instead. I told you, you don't want to be sailor these days.

Current status
They are alive and well. Unless killed by Kratos in "God of War". Doesn't happen too often since nobody plays PS2 games anymore.

Notes
The weirdest thing about Kraken is they really exist. But we call them giant squids.
